E is for Email

The simplest way to enable visitors to your website to contact you is to provide them with an email address.

ed@thisbrighton.co.uk

But why have I put the email address in a image? This is because robot web crawlers of spammers are out there on the web harvesting emails addresses for their nefarious ends.

Robots can't read images.

Many websites don't provide email addresses at all. Instead they provide a form for you to fill in and ask you to provide an email address for them to reply to.

 

E is also for entities.

There are many characters that you might wish to use on your site, such as the copyright sign or trademark sign, which aren't easily available from your keyboard. HTML provides entity names and numbers, either of which can be used.
